Ms. Cath Hume
Cath is the Head of Programme at the Arts Marketing Association (AMA) in the UK. The AMA is a not-for-profit organisation with over 1,800 members, providing a community of knowledge for arts professionals passionate about bringing arts and audiences together www.a-m-a.co.uk. Cath’s role at the AMA involves programming a broad range of events from the annual conference for 650 cultural marketing and fundraising professionals to online learning courses. Recently Cath has been leading a project with British Council and Business and Arts South Africa (BASA) sharing knowledge on audience development across continents.
Cath has an on-going relationship with the University of Surrey as a visiting lecturer. Prior to working at the AMA Cath worked as a consultant with a range of organisations including Richmond Theatre, Natural England and English Heritage. She has also been the Director of an audience development agency and the Artistic Director of a Theatre in Education company following her Masters in Theatre and Education from Central School of Speech and Drama.
