Tim Storhoff is an ethnomusicologist and arts administrator currently living in Tallahassee, Florida. He works as the public information specialist at the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs where he oversees the Division's social media efforts, maintains the blog at culturebuildsflorida.org, and manages multiple grant programs. Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, he holds a Bachelor of Music in bassoon performance and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from the University of Iowa. He moved to Tallahassee to study ethnomusicology at the Florida State University College of Music where he earned his Master’s degree and is now a doctoral candidate. While at Florida State, Tim taught undergraduate music classes and coordinated the University's world music ensemble concerts. He is currently writing his doctoral dissertation on the politics of contemporary U.S.-Cuban musical interactions through tours and festivals.
