David Ross
David Ross a community artist turned Advocate of youth and creativity. In his youth Days, He participated in Young Artist at Work an Arts commission program where he developed a passion For Leadership. 2010 along with community artist/singer Tracy Haynes decided to Become artist leaders and to use collaboration to structure a charity foundation that provides Christmas for less fortunate families. The Success of the Event Dunkin 4 Donations along with the YAAW leadership skills he developed to re-create many different structures of artist leadership along with the passion for Mentorship Being an Amateur/professional Boxing coach for Soul city Boxing. He serves as a community visual artist and staff of The Toledo Art Commissions Creative Placemaking team for two years connecting Visual art to social issues such as Youth against crime, Art and health, and bringing light to Local jazz legends Art Tatum and Jon Hendricks to inspire the community to return back to its origins of community and culture. 2017 Working along with the City of Toledo Youth Commission Artist in leadership serving on board as creative engagement consulting the youth commission ways to connect with youth by way of creative projects. Since then he serves on the Frederick Douglass Center board, Engage Toledo Ambassador, Community police task-force, The police-community relations committee, and Co-Chair the Stop the Violence committee. He brought many anti-violence collaborative efforts such as H.E.A.L Hoods everywhere achieving love bringing together as many as fifteen organizations to combat violence within the community.
