Shannon McDermott is a senior at American University, pursuing a dual degree in CLEG (Communications, Law, Economics, and Government) and Political Science, with a minor in Literature. Shannon just joined the Americans for the Arts team as the Government Affairs intern. Beyond her work here, she also works at a local coffeeshop and is a part of American University’s college radio station as a host of her own show. Born and raised in New Jersey, Shannon’s interests include bagels from the tristate area, short stories, and making playlists of her favorite songs.
