Priya Sircar
Priya Sircar is in her second year in the masters program in Arts Administration at Columbia University. Raised in Texas, Priya earned her B.A. in Plan II, an interdisciplinary honors program at the University of Texas at Austin. She then spent five years in the development and programs departments at the Lance Armstrong Foundation, where she oversaw grants to community organizations around the U.S., and established the LAF's annual conference of grantees for community and capacity building. In her graduate studies, Priya is blending her nonprofit background with her passion for the arts: she is a dancer-choreographer, actor and short film producer, and former musician. Priya currently interns at Lord Cultural Resources, where she is project managing the cultural planning of Columbia, Maryland. As 2010-2011 president of Student Advocates for the Arts (SAA), Priya is thrilled to work with her SAA colleagues to expand the role of students as arts advocates on local, regional and national levels.
