In 1990 at the age of six, Michelle Currica immigrated to the United States from Georgetown, Guyana. Since then she has called many places home, first Memphis, then Atlanta, next Tsuno-cho, Japan, and now Philadelphia. During the day Michelle works as the Program Manager for the Philadelphia Cultural Fund, a non-profit grantmaker providing general operating grants and program support for over 300 arts and culture organizations in the City of Philadelphia. Her evenings and weekends are a blur but more than likely she'll either be at Aikido practice, volunteering, harassing her cat niece, or cooking.
